HOW TO ENTER

To enter, create an original video no more than 2 minutes long about why you love Teachers Pay Teachers and upload it to YouTube by visiting https://www.youtube.com/. To upload a video file to YouTube, you’ll need to login or create a free account. To submit your video as an Entry in this Contest, fill out the submission form on the Teachers Pay Teachers Contest page at (https://www.facebook.com/TeachersPayTeachers/app_515720611858523?ref=page_internal). For your Entry to be counted, You must complete all fields and include the URL to your YouTube video. All Entries must be submitted electronically on the Teachers Pay Teachers Contest Page. Entries received by any other method of delivery, including but not limited to email, postal mail, or another online file sharing service will not be accepted. Each Entrant may submit only one Entry, and each Entry can be submitted only one time. If two or more parties create an Entry together, only one party can submit the Entry and become an Entrant in the Contest. Sponsor will not split any Prizes between parties and will not be responsible for the enforcement of any agreements or arrangements by Entrants to share any Prizes with any other parties.

Entries must be in the form of a video, must be an original piece of work created by the Entrant, and must not have been published elsewhere or submitted for any other contest or competition.

By entering the Contest, You represent, acknowledge, and warrant that your Entry is an original work created solely by You; that the Entry does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity, or intellectual property rights of any person or entity; and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the entry.

Entries must not contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content. Content deemed inappropriate by Sponsor may be disqualified at its sole discretion.

SCORING & VOTING

Round 1—Sponsor Score. On September 14th, 2015 each Entry will be reviewed and scored by Sponsor staff members (“Reviewers”). Reviewers will score each Entry based on the following 4 Categories:

  1. Creativity: Get creative with your video! You can easily record a video of you sitting at your desk looking at the camera, but we’d love to see you get up and film somewhere that adds to your story or provides a creative backdrop. The format of your video is also up to you -- you can make a list, create graphics, use props, and more!

  2. Originality: We want your video to be true to you. It should tell your story, not a general one that can apply to any other TpT’er. We’re looking for uniqueness, which will come naturally if you’re true to your own personal story.

  3. Production Quality and Length: If your video is shaky and blurry, it will be hard to focus on the quality of your content. Be sure to make a video that is produced to the best of your ability. Now is the time to bring out the inner filmmaker in you! In addition, your video should be longer than 30 seconds, but also under 2 minutes.

  4. Evokes Emotion: We love videos that make us cry as much as the ones that make us laugh. Your story should evoke emotion from the audience that causes them to remember your story well beyond the end of the video.

Each Category will be worth 10 points for a maximum per Reviewer score of 40 points. Each Entry will be scored by the same number of Reviewers. Each Entry’s scores will be summed and the 25 Entries with the highest total scores will move on to a vote by the Facebook community (Public Vote).

Round 2—Public Vote. Sponsor will publish the 25 Entries having the highest scores from Round 1 to its Sponsor Contest page. A Public Vote, open to all visitors of the Sponsor Contest page, will be held between 8:00pm EST on September 14th, 2015 and 11:59pm EST on August 27th, 2015. Votes can be placed by clicking “Vote” under the Entry You wish to vote for and entering your email address. Voters must complete all required fields for their vote to be counted. Sponsor will not use any information submitted by Voters in any way that violates the terms our Privacy Policy as described below. Voters may vote for as many Entries as they want, but may only Vote for each Entry one time.

Staff Vote. An internal vote will be held among Sponsor Employees between 8:00am EST on September 14th, 2015 and 11:59pm EST September 14th, 2015. Each Employee will have one vote and may vote for their favorite Entry of the 25 Entries published to the Sponsor Contest Page. Each Employee may only vote for one Entry and may only vote one time.

WINNER SELECTION

There will be three Winners of the Contest, one First Prize Winner, one Second Prize Winner, and one Staff Favorite Prize Winner.

The Winner of the First Prize will be the Entrant whose Entry receives the highest number of Public Votes.

The Winner of the Second Prize will be the Entrant whose Entry receives the second highest number of Public Votes

The Winner of Staff Favorite Prize will be the Entrant whose Entry receives the highest number of Staff Votes.

Tie-Break. In the event that a First Prize, Second Prize, or Staff Favorite Prize (“Prize Position”) is held by two or more Entries having the same number of votes, a 24 hour run-off vote will be held between the tied Entries beginning at 5:00pm EST on September 29th, 2015 and ending at 4:59pm EST on September 30th, 2015. During the Tie-Break period, all other Entries will be removed from the Contest page and no additional votes may be cast for any other Entries. The Entry that has the most votes after the end of the Tie-Break period will win the Tie-Break and will be the Winner of that Prize Position.

Sponsor will publish the results of the Public Vote and the Sponsor Vote and will announce First Prize, Second Prize, and Staff Favorite Prize Winners on its Contest page, as well as in a post on the Teachers Pay Teachers blog. The results and Winners will be announced on October 1st, 2015.

Notification and instructions for each Prize will be sent to the Winners by email using the email address supplied on the Winner’s entry form. Entrants are responsible for monitoring their email account for Prize notification and receipt or other communications related to this Contest. If an Entrant cannot be reached by Sponsor within fifteen days of the Contest date, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, or if a Prize is returned as undeliverable, that Entrant forfeits the Prize. Upon the request of the Sponsor, an Entrant may be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release, Prize Acceptance Form, and IRS W-9 form. If an Entrant fails to comply with these Official Rules, that Entrant may be disqualified at the discretion of Sponsor. Prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible Entries are received.
